2 - Hunter

Hunter Vulpen, Number 2 of my character binge. If I can, I'll be doing individual portraits of each of my characters. If I do one a day, I'll be done in about 2 months.

Character Description:
Name:Hunter Vulpen
Age:18
Identifying marks: A large built-up scar in the shape of a cross running parallel to his spine, three smaller scars along the bottom edge of the cross, and a thick scar running from his collarbone to his armpit across his right pectoral.
Scent: A mix of warm moist earth and Jasmine (the royal flower)
Mannerisms or gestures: Tends to walk overly-stiff as if he always has to impress someone. Is constantly listening to his surroundings without thinking, causing his ears to often twitch.
Strongest personality traits: Determined to never be broken or beaten down even when things are hard.
Weakest personality traits: Has an overwhelming need to be accepted by others.
Needs of the character: To be accepted, especially by his family and his brother. Also: sweet buns.
Ambitions: To bring an end to the human/animus war going on in his world.
Father's name: Aaram Vulpen
Mother's name: Zenza (?) (She was a human merchant that Aaram had an affair with during a courtesy visit to the human kingdom. She died when Hunter was a toddler, and he was sent back to the animus realm.
Sibling's names and descriptions: Articus Vulpen
Favorite saying: "Peace is a compromise that no one will ever be happy with, that's why we're so eager to fight over stupid things."
Interests and hobbies: Weapons training (especially quarterstaff and bow). Cooking (surprisingly), and people watching.
Favorite foods: Sweeeeeet buuuuuuuunnnnnnnnnnsssssssss
Favorite colors: Blue and white, his family colors.
Education: Knows 4 languages not including the common tongue as well as rudimentary science, reading/writing, and economics.
Religion: Chooses not to follow the Kingdom's religion, Shen, because the priests tortured him when he was little, giving him his scars and blacklisting him as a demon.
Financial situation: He's a prince...or.......was........before he was exiled.
Future plans: Unify his broken country again before his race is wiped out.
Possessions this character values most: A green sickle-bladed staff wrapped with his brother's hair. Unbeknownst to him, it's possessed by Articus's vengeful spirit, and burns any human it touches. From time to time it will possess him, causing him to become his brother for a short period of time.
What drives your character: Worry for his country and the need to be accepted by his people again.
How does your character handle conflict: Tries to negotiate, but has a short fuse and will just beat the snot out of someone who is too difficult.
How does your character feel about love: Believes it exists, but rarely. Is a bit cynical on this subject.
